Ken Arnold, CEO  collapse

Ken ArnoldKenneth Arnold is the Chief Executive Officer, co-founder, and a principal of Association Financial Services, L.C. He has over 20 years experience in managing businesses throughout their lifecycle, from early stage development to maturity.

Prior to founding the Company, he was most recently the CEO of a successful internet marketing company that he founded in 1999. Mr. Arnold closed on three rounds of equity investments and led the company through its life-cycle including concept, start-up, growth, and mature stages. The company is still in business today. Prior to the internet company, Mr. Arnold was Vice-President of Institutional Fixed Income for Advest, Inc. with a focus on corporate, mortgage-backed, and sovereign debt. In addition, Mr. Arnold worked extensively with banks and money managers in investment portfolio analysis and restructuring.

Mr. Arnold received his M.B.A. from the University of Miami with a concentration in finance and international business on full academic scholarship, and a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Florida. He is a licensed Florida Community Association Manager and Florida Mortgage Broker. He formerly held the Series 7 and 63 licenses. Mr. Arnold is the brother of Mr. Jonathan Arnold.

Alex Moskovitz, CFO  collapse

Alex MoskovitzAlexander Moskovitz is Chief Financial Officer and a principal of Association Financial Services, L.C.

He previously worked as a Principal at HIG Capital, a leading middle market private equity investment firm focused on making investments between $5-$40M in equity financing. While there, he was intimately involved with managing the diligence and financing process for new investments, active portfolio management through board representation on the boards of companies, and managing the sale process for companies being exited. In addition, Mr. Moskovitz completed the firm’s first privatization of a publicly listed company, the first high-yield note financing of a portfolio company, as well as led the successful dividend recapitalization and subsequent sale of a portfolio company yielding a greater than 30 times cash-on-cash return for the firm’s LPs.

In 2006, he helped HIG launch its hedge fund – Brightpoint Capital in which it posted first year gross returns greater than 25%. Mr. Moskovitz holds an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar (Top 5% of class), and a Bachelors of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jon Arnold, COO  collapse

Jon ArnoldJonathan Arnold is Chief Operating Officer, a co-founder, and a principal of Association Financial Services, L.C.

Mr. Arnold has extensive experience in investment and debt management. Most recently he was an equity partner at a $2 billion investment firm (PRS Group). He was specifically responsible for the portfolio management of a $200mm (capital) convertible arbitrage hedge fund and a $150mm bond fund. In this capacity he was the lead decision maker in security selection, security trading, portfolio composition, deployment of leverage, fund financing, prime broker and brokerage relationships. He managed a team of analysts, traders, and support staff to conduct all functions of the funds.

Mr. Arnold’s investment expertise include debt markets (convertible, high-yield, corporate, government, agency, municipal, mortgage-backed, asset-backed, CP), equity markets (stocks, options, warrants, SPAC’s), and derivative markets (CDS, financial futures, volatility trading).

Mr. Arnold graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a concentration in finance. He obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1997 and formerly held the series 7, 63, and 65 licenses. Mr. Arnold is the brother of Mr. Kenneth Arnold.

Ram A. Moskovitz, CIO   collapse

Ram A. MoskovitzRam A. Moskovitz is the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Engineering of Association Financial Services, L.C.

Mr. Moskovitz was part of the founding team for VeriSign, Inc. (Nasdaq: VRSN), selected to build the initial Engineering team. In his time at VeriSign, he designed and implemented many core software technologies including those critical to the SSL, software tamper-proofing and site-seal services. Mr. Moskovitz is co-author on a patent relating to core VeriSign security technology (US patent #6615347).

As Senior Engineer through Director of Engineering, Mr. Moskovitz was a driver of VeriSign's operations oversight team, helping to develop VeriSign's early scalability and availability practices. He was also key in the innovation and deployment of operational and customer service improvements which helped drive down both VeriSign's costs and customer order fulfillment time.

As Director of Corporate Strategy, Mr. Moskovitz was a key participant in the development and growth of the security services engineering department, helping to educate marketing, sales, customer service, and legal staff on VeriSign technology and related services. He also played a key role in corporate development, evaluating acquisition targets, and coordinating integration of acquired companies’ technologies.

Mr. Moskovitz graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Computer Science. Mr. Moskovitz is the brother of Mr. Alexander Moskovitz.

Mitchell Drimmer   collapse

Mitch DrimmerMitchell Drimmer is the Vice President of Sales at Association Financial Service. He has served in this position since 2007, and has engaged hundreds of community associations for the firm.

Mitch was the Chief Executive Officer of Drimmer Industries, an export commission buying office in New York, for 35 years before coming to Florida to work with Association Financial Services.  Born and raised in New York City with many years of business and collections experience, Mitch Drimmer has become synonymous with collections success in Florida.  Mitch is a licensed Community Association Manager and can often be seen giving continuing education classes and motivational seminars all over Florida at trade events, educational seminars, and board of directors workshops.

Mitch earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Hunter College of The City University of New York.  He is licensed as a Florida Community Association Manager, real estate sales associate,  0229 credit insurance sales, and CAM CEU provider.

Mitch also writes "Community Association Beat," a syndicated newspaper column that appears in community newspapers all over the Miami area.

 

In-House Legal Counsel

Jeffrey M. Oshinsky, Esq. collapse
Jeffrey M. OshinskyJeffrey M. Oshinsky serves as in-house legal counsel for AFS, where he enhances relationships with collection attorney partners and supervises internal compliance programs. Mr. Oshinsky was previously a Shareholder in the Corporate and Securities Department of Stearns Weaver’s Miami office. His practice included a broad range of general corporate commercial representations, including representation of numerous issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities. He has also worked with institutional investors, private investors and other financing sources in negotiating and documenting debt and equity placements including venture capital transactions. Mr. Oshinsky's experience with clients in a variety of industries and with diverse financial requirements enables him to offer practical and creative advice on securities laws, as well as general corporate issues. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, having represented a number of buyers, sellers and intermediaries in transactions involving assorted industries. Mr. Oshinsky has represented clients throughout the life-cycle of a buy-out transaction from acquisition, through intermediate financings and add-on acquisitions, to ultimate divestiture or sale to the public. He has represented private equity firms in connection with portfolio company acquisitions and related financings. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The American University and a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to the Bars of Florida and New York.

David SissmanDavid Sissman is a Senior Vice President at Private Capital Management, an investment management firm based in Naples, Florida, where he focuses on investments in undervalued publicly-traded securities.  Prior to PCM, Mr. Sissman was a founding principal of Brightpoint Capital, the long/short hedge fund of H.I.G. Capital, where he focused primarily on healthcare and special situation investments, as well as developing and directing the investment research process.  Prior to Brightpoint Capital, Mr. Sissman was a principal within H.I.G. Capital's private equity group, where he led investments in private healthcare and business services companies.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Sissman worked at Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to implement strategic plans and operational improvements.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in statistics and Spanish from Rice University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

David RosenbaumDavid P. Rosenbaum, CPA, is a principal in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF. David has been in the public accounting profession since 1973. In this capacity, Mr. Rosenbaum has provided high-level accounting, estate and income tax and consulting services to a variety of industries with concentration in law firms, real estate, health care and other professional service organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida and did post graduate work at the University of Miami.
